James Lek is the Founder and Director of James Lek Law Chambers LLC and an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He practises across civil and commercial litigation, family and matrimonial law, criminal defence, probate and estate matters, and dispute resolution.
Prior to establishing the firm, James practised at a Big 4 firm – WongPartnership LLP and a boutique litigation firm – JC Law Asia LLC, gaining experience in complex commercial disputes, high-net-worth matrimonial matters, criminal proceedings and other contentious matters. He has represented clients in court proceedings, conducted witness cross-examinations and managed disputes from commencement through to resolution.
James believes that effective legal representation should be clear, practical and personal. He works closely with clients to understand what matters to them, explain their options in straightforward terms, and pursue solutions that are both legally sound and commercially sensible.
